This page will give
you the information and training required for the shortened version
of EFT
Eft involves the realignment of the body's energy system,
by tapping on the body's meridian points whilst stating
the offending emotion or fear, and accepting yourself
even with the problem. That's it, Its no more complex
then that.

The Shortcut (Shortened) EFT Version
The EFT Shortcut Version consists of
the Setup and the Sequence.
EFT Shortcut - Step
1 - The Setup
The setup is used to get around some of the effects of
Psychological Reversal. In 40% of all cases, Psychological
Reversal will be present.
Whilst you may have a problem
that requires resolving, your subconscious mind may not
in fact want to overcome the problem, or negative defeating
thinking may be preventing you from overcoming the problems.
Some of which you will not even be aware of and will be
out of your conscious control.
Fortunately this self sabotage
can be overcome during this setup phase.
The setup is started by tapping on the Karate Chop Point
or rubbing the Sore Spot whilst quoting the setup
affirmation. The affirmation acknowledges the problem and
then accepts the problem. You repeat the affirmation 3 times
whilst tapping or rubbing.
Eft Setup - Typical Setup Statement: .....
Even
though I have ___________, I deeply and completely accept
myself
Some Examples:
Even though I have this craving for alcohol,
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I have this war memory, I
deeply and completely accept myself.
Even though I am afraid to talk in front
of people, I deeply and completely accept myself
Even though I am afraid of cats, I love
and accept myself.
Sore Spot
If you elect to use this meridian point, Use your fingers on one hand and rub the
sore spot in a circular motion - Either side is ok -
you will know when you are on the right spot as it will
actually be sore to rub
Karate Chop: .
Alternatively you can tap on the Karate Chop Point.
This is generally the easiest to perform and is my
preferred method of use for the Setup. I rarely use the Sore Spot.
I still use the Sore Spot occasionally if I am experiencing
difficulty with Psychological Reversal. That is to
say, if I am having difficulty and I believe that
is could be Psychological Reversal (because we cannot
tell if it is psychological reversal, as we cant see
it) .
The Sore Spot can prove to work a little stronger.
Think of it like a mild cup of coffee (karate chop)
or a strong cup of coffee (sore spot). Both points
are fine, use what you feel is necessary (accept what your intuition is telling you). But as I
said, I use the Karate Chop Point most of the time
and I get fantastic results, I use the karate point
about 99.9% of the time.
Note: When
you tap it should not be too hard as to hurt yourself, but
don't tap like a feather either.
EFT Shortcut - Step
2 - The Sequence
This consists of tapping each meridian point, approx 7 times whilst repeating the subject to which release is being sort.
Example of an emotional issue::.......
Setup (step 1) = "Even though I am afraid of cats, I love
and accept myself"
Sequence (step 2) = .. "afraid
of cats" ...(lets call it the "setup insert")
In the example above the subject to which release is being sort is the emotional concerns around being afraid of cats. So during the Sequence Phase of EFT you repeat that part of the statement at each meridian point.
You repeat the "setup insert", at every point whilst tapping
around 7 times.
You could in fact repeat the whole setup statement if you wish, but
its not necessary and only drags the sequence out, all that is required is to restate the "setup insert" at each point. Also there
is no need to count the number of times you tap on each point, maybe you will do 5 taps, maybe 7, maybe 9, who cares,
just tap at a good pace and you will be fine.
You are able to be a little creative with the sequence
if you wish, as you will see my Sample Transcript below. But for
now just remember that Basic EFT states that you only need
repeat the inserted portion at each point. So if you are going to try some of your own creations, then sticking to the basic's is best.
Eft is also very forgiving, so if you are not exact with any
of your tapping, who cares. Experience has shown me that
results will be achieved even if you don't tap enough times
or tap exactly on the correct point. I guess its partly
to do with the fact that your system is interlocked and
if you don't tap one point correctly and not enough the
next point will make up for it.
Only use two fingers to tap on the front of the face as
any more could get in the way, and you will probably end
up poking yourself in the eye.. All the other spots are
usually tapped by using the 4 fingers on the hand.
Meridian Points Used in the Sequence
You start tapping at the EB point and work down. EB, SE,
UE, UN, Ch, CB, UA and back up to the H. (see
diagram)
Which hand, which side of the face, who cares, you choose, it doesn't matter
The face points are obvious, and are easily seen from on the diagram below.
The Collar Bone Point is just below the collar bone. Find
the point where both your collar bones come together in
the middle, go down about 1 inch and then 1 inch over to
the left or right.
The Under Arm point is in line with the nipple on men and
the middle of the bra strap for women, in line with the
center of the arm pit, or there about's.
The Top of Head point is roughly around the crown area.
Pick about a 50mm circle at the rear of the head and tap
in a circle. If you were to place a flat straight object
on top of your head and press a flat straight object against
the rear of your head pointing upwards, they would both
meet each other at about the crown area. That becomes the
center of the circle (the 50mm circle)... Roughly said, the crown area has numerous meridian points, so as long as you are tapping on top of you head towards the rear you are bound to hit some of these points...
